My name is Laurie Trotman.

I recently wondered what it would be like to write children’s stories. I came up with the main character, Timmy the Ant. Timmy is all about adventure so these stories are about his adventures outside of his anthill. I have tried to incorporate some life lessons for young readers as well as fun. I hope you will enjoy these stories and be gentle with your comments as I only started the writing venture five months ago (March 2021). Please note that some of these stories also have ‘Toddler versions.”

My other new interest is in woodworking. I simply search out decorating ideas, sketch the ideas, transfer the sketch to wood, and then the magic happens! I’ve made indoor and outdoor decorations for family and for myself, but now I’m ready to start making things for friends and strangers.
